Sometimes important achievements of humankind become "ordinary" and people forget the complex and interesting historical path of science and technology. But! There is a place in Magdeburg where you can remember and/or discover 6 000 years of the history of science! Our SIAM Chapter Team invited all interested members and students to visit one of the most interesting technical museums in Magdeburg - Millennium Tower (Jahrtausendturm).
The museum is a wooden tower with 6 levels inside, which include interactive experiments, major inventions and exhibits on mechanics, mathematics, alchemy, medicine, physical anthropology etc. For those who doubt the Earth's rotation, Foucault pendulum is there to demonstrate it.
